Gathering in the Country

Things move at a slower pace in the country, and that is why many people don’t move there. They think the country is boring.

There are always fun things to do in the city, and life is very fast paced. They think life won’t be exciting if they move to the country.

They think that, if they move from the city, they will sit and stare at the wall all day long. This is true sometimes.
But there are actually a lot of social things to do in the country.

When I was young, and before I moved to the city, for example, we loved to make a fire, sit around it, and play music. It was common and exciting for us.

And before our family moved to the city, it was always a fun time when we decided to go swimming . Swimming in the river was something we did whenever it was hot outside.

We also liked to get together and play lawn games. People usually don’t play lawn games in the city, but for us, they were very popular in the country.

Barbecue was also something we loved to do in the country. We invited friends and family to come over to our house, and we all ate together.

But what about doing things inside? Are there things to do with friends indoors? Of course there are!

In the small town I lived in, there were live bands that played live music at local restaurants every week. Sometimes the music was good, and sometimes it was not good.

And sometimes, there was dancing when they played live music. In many places there were distinct ways that people danced. The dances were unique sometimes.

Something else that we did in the country was to go to a church. People often met friends at church in the country town I lived in.

But even though there were many things to do in the country, at the end of the day, life was slower there, and people needed to find things to do in their free time.
