Bundle Up for the Snow Day!
It snowed all night, last night.
The weather woman said there was a lot of snow.
The kids are very excited! There is no school today!
Children get excited because they get to go play in the snow!
Dad is not excited because he has to go shovel snow.
After that, the family gets to go out and play together. Snow days are a lot of fun!
But before everyone goes outside, they all have to bundle up. “Bundle up” means they have to put on a lot of clothes.
First, everyone has to put on their long underwear. This will keep them warm when it gets cold outside.
Then, everyone needs thier warm wool socks. Sometimes people’s toes get cold and wet, so these will keep them warm and dry.
After they put on their socks, they need their snow pants. These will keep their legs warm and dry.
Every person also needs a warm snow jacket. This will keep their body warm and ready to play in the snow!
Snow gloves are also important. You need gloves to make snowballs.
And of course, you need your snow hat. This will keep your head and your ears nice and warm.
Scarfs are also a great way to keep the warm.
And finally, snow boots are also important to keep warm in the cold snow.
Now dad can go shovel snow.
And kids can go play in the snow.
They can sled down hills.
And they can make snowmen too.
Snow days are a lot of fun, but make sure that you bundle up!
