This is a palm tree on a beach. There are palm trees on beaches all over the world.
Palm trees are mostly a tropical tree. This means they mostly grow in tropical places.
Palm trees have really long trunks and their leaves are really high.
Coconuts grow under the leaves of palm trees. Many people like to eat the coconuts.
To get the coconuts, people have to climb up and take them down. It is dangerous to climb palm trees.
When you get the coconut, you can drink its milk. The milk inside of a coconut is delicious.
People also eat coconut. Coconut has a very distinct flavor.
People often put coconut into breakfast bowls like this one. It is fantastic to eat and very nutritious.
Coconut oil is also good for your skin. It makes people’s skin healthy.
Most people think palm trees are only in hot, tropical environments, but sometimes they are in cold places.
And many people grow palm trees in non-tropical places. These, for example, are in Sweden.
There is also a different type of palm tree in the mountains of Colombia. This palm tree is unique because it is so tall.
The trunks of these palm trees can be over 200 feet, or 60 meters. Most people do not climb them.
Palm trees are, and always will be, a symbol of the beach, and that is because it is mostly true.
