Language growth for every student

Imagine walking into a classroom where every student — newcomer, long-term multilingual learner, or native-born — has the tool they need to fully participate, achieve higher grades, and graduate ready for the future.

That’s the vision we’re building toward. And it starts with a simple idea:

AI can transform every class into a language class, so we can clearly see language growth for every student.

Our Four Pillars for Language Growth for Every Student

At AIR Language, we’ve spent the past year working alongside schools to design a system that gives teachers and administrators what they’ve always needed but never had: real-time, actionable language growth tools.

Here’s how it works:

1. Content Generation Engine

Teachers upload texts, and AI automatically scaffolds by proficiency level, with embedded Tier 2 and content area vocabulary. Standards-aligned questions are generated instantly, creating a searchable library that integrates seamlessly into LMS platforms.

2. Student Submission Portal

Students submit work in writing or speech. AI evaluates against two indexes:

  • ERI (Exit Readiness Index) – tracks English growth as it aligns with the annual language test

  • GRI (Graduation Readiness Index) – aligns to grade-level academic standards

Students learn immediatly what they need to do to improve in thier writing, and teachers gain instant insights, with AI-powered hints and tutoring support built in.

3. Real-Time Data Dashboards

Administrators see student, class, and district-level growth instantly — not months later. Data is exportable, searchable, and actionable, so schools can intervene before stagnancy sets in.

4. Automated Professional Development

Teacher growth is built into the system. AI links broad student challenges to just-in-time PD, with resources accessible directly in the LMS. Teachers grow in their practice while students grow in their language.

The Impact

When every class is treated as a language class, two things happen:

  1. Multilingual learners accelerate beyond the intermediate plateau, no longer stalled in their progress.

  2. Native-born students improve too, as language-rich classrooms boost comprehension, critical thinking, and test performance across the board.

This isn’t just an ESL solution. It’s a school-wide movement to raise grades, test scores, and graduation rates for all students.

Join the Movement

We’re inviting district leaders, principals, and directors of multilingual education to see how this model can be implemented in your schools.
